Pretty much plug and play.

Remove bulbs, fit new bulbs. Fit wiring from original bulbs to sockets on kit. Locate balast resitor, enjoy!
They'll only be for dipped beam though.
If ya do em. Take some pics and we'll put em as a sticky.

Factory one's a re a different kettle of fish.
You need all the auto levelling kit and headlamp washers. Me and big si's looked into it wit hour b5.5's and an after market kit is more easier to use.

Yeah, I found some factory B5.5 ones on the bay, but the plugs were different, the levelers are totally different and will not work with the standard manual leveling, and you need to alter other stuff with VAG-COM. I woundn't have worried about washers if they were simple plug and play.

With a B5, there are lots of aftermarket halogen projector lights that look like oem Xenon's. All you have to do is buy a good conversion kit like Novablue, then fanny is your aunt.

I didn't translate the blurb, but there are online sites that will do it for free, but are they rhd?

Are they are original oem lights? If the are they may need very expensive vw xenon 'burners'. These will be a different fit to the upgrade kits that are designed to replace hallogen bulbs.

I'd get some like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Passat-B5-3B-V ... dZViewItem And fit a conversion kit to them.

I bloody hate ebay  while I was looking for your's, I found these

I'm sure I could get them to work some how :? :?

Perhaps the rhd/lhd thing works like ours with just the need to flick the switch??
