My detailing regime

Postby johnDUB on Sun Nov 11, 2007 2:15 pm

First I start by washing the car in Zymol Auto Wash. I use a Gritguard bucket and a microfibre noodle sponge.

I rinse off with water, and dry with 4 microfibre sports towels.

Once dry, I use Zymol HD Cleanse to remove dead wax, and bring the shine up.
I then put a coat of Zymol Concourse Wax bare handed, as it melts properly then and spreads evenly as per instructions to a panel at a time, while buffing off panel at a time as you don't let this stuff set.
Once all the car is done, I spritz the panels with cold water to seal in the carnuba. Polish off.. Job done.
Wheels I normally use Zymol Field Glaze, or now, Supaguard wheels.
Auto Glym tyre spray. Auto Glym bumper gel for black plastics, HD Cleanse for Glass.
I use Zymol Detail Wax for the Grill, and other black plastics.

In between, I wash, dry and apply polish by applicator then, or, bring the shine back with Zymol detailing spray.

Because winters fastly approaching, I'm using Zymol Carbon wax as it's less time consuming to apply.

Interior I use Zymol Leather cleaner, Auto Glym interior shampoo and baby wipes for the Alcantara. Hoovering a.la. Dyson Portable.

Engine bay plastics and rubbers taken care with tyre and bumper products.
