hi guys, thought i'd post up a few pics of my baby for ya to have a peek at.

this is how she looked from the stealers, oh and after a quick wash and wax by me:

only bought her in feb this year so not done much as yet.

the spec as bought:
17" multi spoke wheels
6 disk changer in arm rest
rain sensitive windscreen wipers
auto headlights
self diming rear view mirror
reverse/parking sensors

since then i've changed the mirror indicators to inpro smoke items, k & n panel filter and a bit of bling in the engine bay with an alloy oil cap  .

couple of other shots after detailing:

nice and shiny 8)

future plans:

de badge the rear, hopefully this weekend.
dark rear lights, not sure yet whether to use r32 units or the black mirror inpro units?
black front lights, but again not sure whether to go for darker vw lights or fk angel eyes?
spray vw badges black front and rear
exhaust and remap when funds allow
new alloys again when funds allow

hope you like her, all comments, likes or dislikes and any ideas are more than welcome

thanks for looking guys

Nice and shiney that Ted. Good job.

Dark and moody mods are always the way to go with black cars.

If you put an exhaust on it, would you go for a discrete, or twin shooter like the 170 GT? If you co for th later, I saw a really nice rear valance the other day. I cant remember what it was from, but as soon as I find it, I'll post some pics.

been thinking the same thing. saw a thread on another forum where everyone was changing to the 170 valance and pipes and really raving about it.

not sure tho if it'll look stupid if keeping the standard front bumper. thought about swaping to the new sport/gti front end as well but it's price that's putting me off. apparently parts alone cost close to a grand!!!

1. i haven't got a grand at the mo
2. i could think of other things i'd rather spend a grand on first for the car

if i decided to keep the discreet look i'd probably get the valance smoothed and painted anyway. think it'd look miles better and it's a real pain not to get polish/wax on it when detailing.

opinions please guys

christ on a bike, i have competition for shiny shiny..
Ted, when you swapped oil caps, did you by perchance have the one with the castrol logo on top? Dizzy promised me one and it never came, steelers don't have em :-(

Nice motor, i missed out on wing mirror indicators by 2 months on the phatlass

cheers john, got to admit i was just a little happy with the results after all the work i put in. did take 6 hours tho, but the paint work after claying is now like glass!!

sorry bud, the alloy oil cap is actually a cover for the standard vw cap and simply screws over the top so not actually got a spare. plus i've no idea what's on the top of it!!!
