Most people dont bother

Postby dubber36 on Tue Apr 29, 2008 5:33 pm

Just walked to the post box, and counted 23 cars parked down the street at work. It's been raining on and off all afternoon and mine was the only one with beads of water on it.

I admit that I can be a bit obcesive when it comes to car cleaning, but you'd think more people would make a bit of an effort.

The dodo will bead good and proper. I used to use zymol concourse at £164, bead city.

Beadings good as it means there's a waterproof coat between outside world and paint. This prtects the paint from traffic film and uv radiation which oxidises and weakends the paint.

Keeps you fit applying it too.

Do a panel at a time left to right straight strokes. Wipe off north sounth and leave for 4 hours. Then buff circular.

On the bonnet, split into 3. don't let it harden.

If you do get stuck, the only megs product worth it's cash is Ultimate Quik Detailer. And to wash your car, use Zymol Auto Wash from Halfords. Oils are in it, detergents, but no added wax products. Thats the key. Just wash it, rinse and dry with a sonus waffle weave cloth or similar.

If you get stuck, gaz as my number and give us a ring and i'll advise.

"hmmm, might start this as a business"
