As a diy kit, this is very hard to achieve a perfect factory look if your not in simbiance with a grinding wheel.
So far, it's took best part of 3 hours to grind out the unwanted metal as in the downloaded pdf. I used a diamond stone on a dremmel and even with this, i've buggered three chucks up and two adpters for the cutting discs through excessive heat. The heat is a pain as it tarnishes the stainless badly and the sticky is a bugger for smouldering and sticking even further.
Once cut out, the clips they supply are intended to be liquid steel'd in ready for you to screw on. Epoxy was the first choice, but a local motor factor pointed out that the epoxy bond will break after a while.
Liquid Steel is about £4.50 + vat.
When it's glued up, i'll post a pic. #
On a plus note, if you are not 100% on the cutting, err for leaving a tad too much metal on as you can file it off, and you dont see your poor cutting skills once on.
